Today we are going to look at three trading ideas. First on  EUR/USD , then we’ll take a look at  NZD/USD , and then on  EUR/CAD . So let’s take a look at it. What you see before you is the  EUR/USD  chart. It is a 30-minute time frame, and the platform is NinjaTrader 8 with my custom-made Volume Profile and VWAP indicators. What I want to talk about today is a support level at  1.1611 . This level was formed on Tuesday last week and is based on this area of strong buying activity. We came in this morning looking at these two levels — the overnight high and the overnight low. What we were looking for was either a break to the upside that holds, a break to the downside that holds, or the inverse — a failed breakout or a failed breakdown. During our session this morning, it didn’t exactly materialize within that time frame, but here you can see we did have a break right off the open on very weak buying. Buyers came in, closed, and held, but there was no follow-through and no acceleration of buyers on this breakout. At that moment, I chose not to do anything. We’ll start here with the  ES . We have essentially a doji day. A few minutes ago, this looked like a bearish shooter candle that was about to close as such, and then we ran it up into the close, right back to the open again. So, let’s just start right through here. You can see the Asian session flatlined, the London session ran up, and then the cash session broke down in that first hour or so. It broke down, flipped the aggressive trend stream, broke through the bearish break, and plunged for the rest of the day—until that late-session bullish run into the close. Video Transcript: Okay, so just shortly after the bell for the close of July, we had a bearish outside day. It took out both sides of the prior day’s candle and had a fairly strong close at the end. We did not, at this moment, take out the prior day’s low, but we’ll see what happens in the overnight. A very big, strong rotation here—or at least a big, strong pullback or retrace—from the all-time high we set this morning. We took out that all-time high and then sold off for the balance of the day.
